Photo development...

I got my pictures back from our trip to Florida last night. Getting photos developed within a week of when they were took must be an all time record for me. I must admit that the reason I sent them off so quickly was because I wanted to try a new developer. I've tried many places...I love the online places that allow you to just upload and you get your order in your mailbox in a few days. My favorite used to be Ofoto, but they switched over to some Kodak company, and I swear the pictures don't look as nice. My new thing has been the matte finish. For some reason I think they look nicer, and they don't show fingerprints on them. That's a pretty big thing for a scrapbooker. Anyways, this time around I got my photos developed at mpix.com and I can honestly say I will not be using anyone else (unless someone else comes out with matte photos in all kinds of cool sizes and does a great job with the color correction). The photos look amazing and my favorites are the 9x6 sizes. While their price might be a bit more than snapfish and shutterfly, I am willing to pay for the really nice quality.

Happy Birthday, Eric!

My younger, but much bigger brother is turning 29 today. I'm starting to get to the point where I don't celebrate birthdays with my siblings anymore. When we were growing up, we would buy gifts for eachother. Mom would make a big dinner and there was always a birthday cake with candles. Now that we are getting older, that tradition is fading...especially for me since I no longer live in the same state. It's a bit weird to not acknowledge your sibling's birthdays, don't you think? My parents never did anything for their siblings, so maybe it's normal to outgrow your birthday. I know that since turning 30, I would just assume forget it! :)

In any case, Happy Birthday, Eric!!!

April Showers....

It's April and it's snowing. Unreal. This isn't a light dusting of snow either...it's really coming down. Big fluffy snowflakes. It's like a feather pillow has busted open.

Just when I was getting excited about Daylight Saving Time and spring finally being here, this happens. At least the ground isn't frozen and it's not sticking.

I wonder how the tulips that have begun to poke out of the ground are going to fair!?!

Sun, Sand and Smiles

I'm finally starting to take decent pictures with my fancy camera. It takes a thousand shots to come up with something I like...but it's progress.

Brian and I have never really been big into beach vacations, but we loved this little trip to Florida. I enjoyed taking walks on the sand in the evening. Next time we are going to remember a flashlight so we can walk in the moonlight!

Go Sox!

Needed a break from life, so we took off a few days and flew down to Florida. On our to do list was to see a Red Sox spring training game. The ballpark was so intimate and fan friendly. I thought Brian was crazy for wanting to get there two hours before the game, but was shocked when there were so many fans there early too. The players were very accessible and a lot of people (mostly kids) were getting autographs. Brian was very proud of his Manny and Willie Moe sigs. Hehehehe. Of course I had to tease him about this.
